The British Demo team have a variant game that allows players to play events (after an action) for as long as they want and to allow a card to nullify the last card played, i.e. Eden do not produce a card list so unless you have an unmixed deck to compare them to, you will have problems splitting your decks up again. It is even possible to add another four players by adding another deck to the mix and having two holding cells, and while this makes for even more evil fun it does slow the game down. You can add more players by adding another deck for each four players, but that will slow the game down if too many are added, and as no card list is given it will take time to split the decks up again The shift in fortune arising from the playing of Events keeps the game lively should a player get a temporary advantage. The game is a nice fast filler game in the "beer and pretzel" tradition. You don'twant to be in the Examining Room when the card "Anal Probe" is played. Again these vary, from the moderately helpful "How Big is this Place" (lets you find a location from the draw pile) to the really frustrating "A change in Plans" (all Abductees drop their hands and draw another). (One chance, going around the table in turn). You play these as part of an Action when it's your turn or you get a chance after the turn of another. The real fun of being nasty to your friends is in the events. Some rooms are easier to find things in than others (a number on the card will tell you). Some Locations also have properties which can do things like reduce the number of cards in your hand, teleport you around the ship or protect you from nasty circumstances. The items might help you, by protecting you from Black Outs or allowing you to peek at other players cards, or they might be used to attack other players and, of course, causing them to ah, you guessed it. In subsequent turns you draw your hand back up to five. When it's your turn you perform three actions from the following options. You start with a hand of five cards, made up of the three types. They should be cut and folded to stand up, but it looks like they'd get crumpled easily. The counters mentioned above are a varied lot, including Masai warrior, little girl and Friesian Cow. Usually this makes no difference but a couple of people have complained that it is hard to read. This means that any writing on them is left by the absence of ink. The cards are green printed on white on what are supposedly normal card stock cards, though they seem a little lightweight.

If they "Black out", they are assumed to have been picked up tby the aliens and placed right back at the start, in the Holding Cell, without any cards or Items they might have had. You can stymie your fellow players in their race to the Exit by causing them to "Black out". The winner of the game is the first one to get finish their turn on an exit. You can Search for Items in your current Location.

Location and Item are fairly straight-forward, you use a game-board consisting of the Location Cards, joined by matching up doorways, to move your playing piece from a Holding Cell to an Exit. You get three kinds of cards, Location, Event and Item. Well, now you can do this, and more, in the comfort of your own home with "Abduction". Perhaps you've been one of the (un)lucky few to miss out on being abducted by aliens, taken to the Mothership and "probed", or perhaps you were, and want to relive the experience.
